Menu Elements

This page discusses the elements of the menu interface. Next to the description of each menu is an image of the Color Picker Pro menu bar. The various menu elements being discussed and their command key equivalents are expanded beneath the menu bar on the associated image.


The Apple Menu

  • About Color Picker Pro...

    Selecting 'About Color Picker Pro...' from the 'Apple' menu will display the Color Picker Pro 'About Box' in the Color Picker Pro window. If there isn't a window already open, one will be created. To dispose of the 'About Box' simply click the mouse.



  • The File Menu

  • New

    Selecting 'New' from the 'File' menu or using the key combination Command+N will open a new Color Picker Pro window. If a window is already open, this command is unavailable.

  • Close

    Selecting 'Close' from the 'File' menu or using the key combination Command+W will close a Color Picker Pro window. If there isn't a window open, this command is unavailable.

  • Quit

    Selecting 'Quit' from the 'File' menu or using the key combination Command+Q will quit the Color Picker Pro application.



  • The Edit Menu

  • Undo / Redo

    Selecting 'Undo' from the 'Edit' menu or using the key combination Command+Z will undo the last color change to the main color box. After using the 'Undo' command, you can recover the previous color to the main color box by selecting 'Redo' from the 'Edit' menu or again using the key combination Command+Z.

  • Copy

    Selecting 'Copy' from the 'Edit' menu or using the key combination Command+C will copy the current hex value to the clipboard for pasting into other applications.
